Hotblox Armor
ATC has utilized its materials knowledge to engineer unique, high performance armor systems through a synergistic system design approach. In order to achieve a high level of performance, armor designs must enable component materials with dissimilar properties to work together. As a materials development company, ATC is able to fundamentally design the chemistry of each component material and extract synergistic effects through engineering the entire system. This systemic approach enables efficient use of materials and as a result, ATC is establishing the new state-of-the-art in armor performance..
Attributes
Hotblox Armor has efficient impact energy transfer among its dissimilar components which leads to lower fabric content as well as the use of a thinner strike face. Both of these translate to lower cost and lower weight. Also, the reduced ballistic fabric enables the use of Hotblox Armor in radar transparent applications as well as structural applications.

Effective fragmentation of armor piercing projectile
Hotblox Armor uses a unique encapsulated design which protects the armor from handling dammage, minimizes spall and reduces environmental impact on the armor.

Encapsulated armor pannel with two shots taken
Because Hotblox Armor is a fully engineered system, the overall performance of the armor is not subject to the "weakest link" material. Hotblox Armor has good performance over a wide temperature range, it has good multi-hit capabilities and has very good resistance to delamination. In addition, Hotblox Armor can incorporate the elevated temperature resistance and flame retardancy of ATC's Hotblox Coatings.
Performance
Hotblox armor has armor piercing ballistic performance that exceeds current lightweight armor systems.
